2024 Edition Of My Guidebook Tokyo Intro Is In Print

This new version of Tokyo Intro is available in print form for the first time and it is also the first time I've worked through the entire process of printing a paper book.  It was a ton of work to do page layouts and especially cover formatting, but I now have a new skill!  In role-playing game terms, I leveled up!

This 3rd edition of the book is current as of June 2024.  It was a pile of work to update certain sections, while others were relatively untouched as the information was still current and relevant.  It is always fun planning for my Tokyo trips and documenting what I find benefits both readers and myself.  Tokyo constantly changes with new experiences to enjoy, but it has a stable core that you need to know to enjoy any visit.  This guidebook provides a nice base of information to enjoy any visit more fully.  I have to say holding a print copy in my hand really drives home a personal achievement.

If you're planning on visiting Tokyo soon, or just want to read some cool stories, consider picking up a copy of this as a paperback or an ebook!

The book is now available on Amazon Canada, USA, and other English markets.

The jacket blurb on my book states "Going to Tokyo?  Want a richer experience?"

My book introduces Tokyo using a pop culture lens to give a visitor insight into what is cool about Tokyo.  I use stories to introduce some interesting aspects of Japanese pop culture and the city to give a visitor additional insight into experiences they have. Learn about Japanese food, key experiences, sights to see, districts to visit, anime, and why the country’s pop culture is so popular worldwide. Japan has a rich culture and history and is still creating more of it in the 21st century.

For myself, my next visit to Tokyo will include the new TeamLab digital art experience, new megaplexes like Azabudai Hills and Toranomon Hills, and the revamped Shibuya Crossing Q Front building.  So pick up a copy of this book and learn more about Tokyo!
